Unlocking equity to scale …

Mike Van den Abbeel and Kristen Wolheim opened their own salon in June 2004. They operated in the Ivanhoe Row building where Re:Fresh is today which they purchased. This allowed them to build equity to later unlock it for future expansion rather than their profits escaping into someone else’s pocket.

In 2011, I started seeing Mike after getting a gift certificate at a local silent auction and he was just getting ready to expand his salon as he was purchasing the building next door using the equity he had built. Years later, he shared he was ready for a new location. We were able to find a redevelopment opportunity in the heart of Orlando’s Milk District. Today, we are on the hunt for other locations and hope to have a third location closed on in 2022.
